Kristina!

Kristina Boothe was a Wesley prayer and art speak intern from 2005 to 2007. She now lives in Charlotte with her husband James. They are some of the most generous and loving people I know, continually offering their home and themselves in love. While many from Wesley have come and gone, I know that Kristina will always be there for anyone that has at any time been a part of her family. Kristina forgets no one; once you are a part of her family, you remain a part of her family. She has a huge heart for girls and for actively living in God's restoration and a gift for seeing everyone's worth. She absolutely drips with wisdom, and YOU get to receive some of it!!!

Lindsey!

Lindsey is an Italian beauty from Roswell, Ga. The loves of her life include her family, a sometime sickly puppy named Romeo, and her boyfriend Josh. She really likes Jesus, too. In her spare time she enjoys goofing off with roommates Keri and Mayra and staying up all night with Romeo as he vomits. Lindsey loves to see God heal broken women! She will address the issue of struggling with control and will discuss many of the different reasons we may struggle with this and the different forms it can take in our lives. Her heart is to empower us to let God have complete control!

Katie

Katie is a special lady. Contrary to this picture, she does not enjoy hiking. She has been married for two years, and she and her husband, Daniel, just bought their first house! She loves holidays and festive decorations. She loves Christmas and is still convinced that Santa is real. She loves the TV show Gossip Girls, even though she knows it makes her life a little more dramatic. Katie is convinced that she is meant to live in California even though she was born and raised in East Dublin (where the redneck games are). Some projects she is currently working on are making her office less ghetto, stockpiling groceries (she has 23 cans of peas, 18 boxes of pasta, and 16 sticks of butter frozen in her freezer), and figuring out who her Secret Santa is. If you call Katie, don't bother leaving a voicemail because she hasn't checked it in four years...same with Facebook messages. Katie would love hang out with you. If you go to eat with her, please be patient because she has a hard time deciding what to eat and commonly changes her mind in the midst of ordering. If you want to be her friend, you should buy her a puppy.

On a more serious note, Katie is pregnant. Just kidding; we can only hope. Ok really, Katie is truly amazing. She is an incredible leader and great friend. She thrives in the midst of community and brings freedom and restoration to those that she encounters. She is very creative. She really enjoys the presence of the Lord; and, she lives life anticipating the blessings of the Lord. She has personally shown me how GOOD God is! We are blessed to have her as Director of Women's Ministry.

Jennie

Jennie is proud mama of three beautiful kids! Jack is a five year old cutie who loves to eat! Anne Marie is a sweet and caring seven year old with a heart for healing. Mary Caroline is the oldest, and she is ten years old, she does karate and loves to perform! We are so lucky to have Jennie on our Women's staff this year! The most common question among our women's staff is: "where is Jennie"? ... and, she doesn't always know either! She is probably the most well connected person in Athens. She most likely already knows you, even if you don't know her. The Lord has been doing a new thing in Jennie's life for the past few years. She is in a season of "redemption and restoration," and it has been a huge blessing to see and hear about all the Lord is doing in her and her family! She has a heart for women to know Jesus in a deeper way. You will be blessed to hear from Jennie and to learn through what the Lord has done in her life!

Carrie

Carrie is an absolute darling! We wish that you could get to know darling Carrie like we do … maybe some of you will get that chance … but, until then, let us fill you in. Carrie really likes miniature things – miniature candy bars, miniature grapes, (they’re so cute), Shetland ponies, the car …, even miniature people – like babies. Carrie can’t wait to be pregnant! Well, actually, she can … and is … but, sometimes she sticks out her tummy and pretends like she is. In her spare time, Carrie likes to frolic outdoors … sometimes; sometimes the outdoors doesn’t do it for her. But, she ALWAYS loves to sing and dance! Do the witnesses of this love it? Well, it just depends on how entertained you want to be! But, while not so great at her musical skills, darling Carrie is AMAZING at ministering to the broken, bound, and lonely. She will be leading a breakout concerning the feelings of unworthiness in receiving from the Lord. YES!!!

She definitely is quite great,
Her disposition is very merry,
And on a person she would never hate.
She can sing very high or low,
Hitting such notes it makes you go “whoa”
Almost like singing in a brevdo
While her sense of humor is dry,
I would never try to deny,
That it is true,
That into freedom she will lead you,
So no matter if it’s her dress,
Her style, charm I confess,
That she is a joy to know,
With surprises that will she would love to show.

Leah

Hello, darlings! Adeline here again; and, this time I’m writing a bio for my friend: Leah Nally Taylor Vickroy, who I actually met when I joined my very first women’s group when we were both little, scared and wounded sophomores. That was probably one of the most life-altering years for the both of us. Four years later, we are women’s interns together! Also, four years later she is married and very hip and trendy … and, maybe I’m still neither … But that’s okay! I’m happy for her!
What should you know about Leah? Leah is very domestic. She likes to wear aprons and for her house to be neat. She makes really good homemade hot chocolate. She likes to can tomatoes, but canned beef kind of creeps her out a little bit. She has a fabric with birds on it that she really loves, but she just can’t figure out to do with it. Any suggestions? Maybe she isn’t the best dancer in the world … but its fun to watch for the rest of us! She used to have three imaginary friends: Beanda Beanda, Donda Donda, and Stacey.
Furthermore, Leah is a really gentle and caring person. She befriended me when I was really deeply lonely. This is really the kind of person that Leah is. Leah will be leading a break-out session that addresses fears of judgment, authority, or doing something wrong. She will also address her struggle with receiving grace. You will be so blessed upon hearing her speak!

Addie!

Addie is one of the most talented, driven people that I know. Her heart for the Lord and her heart for restoration inspires those that know her to make a difference. Within Wesley she leads a small group entitled ţâhêr-Purity Pursued. Along with her desire to see every woman freed from sexual bondage, the Lord has really placed those with an orphaned spirit and fear of abandonment on her heart for this particular season at Restored. She will be leading a breakout group geared towards this…and of course will incorporate sex...so not to fear!
NOW it’s time to get to know Adeline a little!!!!!: If you were to walk in on her unannounced you would most likely find her playing the harp dressed up like a pirate, welding a guitar out of metal, or deviously planning a prank. DO NOT underestimate her…just because she is little and beautiful does not mean that she does not have FIREY PASSION! So get to know her and experience her deep love for the children of God!

Hillary Luyk

Hey..it's Jennie..writing about my precious friend Hillary! I think Jesus meant for us to be together because we are in almost every Wesley group together. We've been bonding through deep conversation while pulling weeds, cleaning bathrooms, loading van seats, and huddling together to survive the freezing prayer chapel. She is trendy like I could only dream to be! Hillary loves thrift store shopping, travel, reading, and eating salmon. Her passion is for the restoration of women and freedom for women from sex-trafficking.
